Voice is powerful and evocative. EFP Literary Studies + Spoken Language 10/11 is for Indigenous and non-Indigenous students who want to study Indigenous literature and oral traditions, and for those who want to improve their oral language skills. A special emphasis will be put on how First Peoples voices and texts play a role within the process of Reconciliation. Students may engage with storytelling, protocol, slam poetry, podcasts, public speaking, and explorations on how story relates to place. Above all, this course will tap into our innate desires to speak and be heard.
