| Based on a successful application and interview process. Accel Scimatics is an in-depth study of how Math and Science are interrelated. The Big Ideas of Science 9 and 10 are taught through the overarching lens of Mathematics. Students will complete Science 9, Science 10, and Math 9 in one linear course. Many students use this path to complete Science 11 courses in their Grade 10 year, allowing them to take more Science 11 and 12 courses. Students applying for Accel Scimatics should be able to work independently as well as collaboratively, enjoy both traditional as well as project based activities, and be able to work at an accelerated pace.
Recommendation: completion of grade 8 with observed work ethic in both Science and Math and support/recommendation from middle school science/math teachers |
