Easily the most interesting class you’ll take in high school. Topics could include experimental design, sex and sexuality, brain and nervous system function and dysfunction, psychopharmacology (how drugs affect the brain), sensation and perception, mental illness, personality disorders, sleep and dreams, applied psychology (advertising, learning and training, sports psychology) and a host of other fascinating subjects – if you have ever wondered what makes people tick, this is definitely the course for you. There are no specific pre-requisites for this course but there is a lot of material to cover and some of the topics can be a bit sensitive so maturity and respect for others is pretty important.
