Throughout the course, students will develop lifelong skills in goal-setting, time management, public speaking, school and community service, public relations, decision-making, and team building. Noteworthy projects from previous years include the organization and implementation of school dances, spirit weeks, school BBQs, multicultural celebrations, visits to Torquay, Hillcrest, and Gordon Head, and more.

In addition to honing these skills, students in Community Leadership 12 will take on a more active leadership role by assisting and guiding younger students within the school community. This involves mentoring, supporting, and creating a positive impact through various initiatives. Students will also gain insights into various leadership styles, fostering an exploration of personal values and the development of a unique leadership approach through diverse experiences. Please note that this course operates outside the school’s regular timetable.
