French 11 builds on the skills developed in the introductory and intermediate levels. This course continues to focus on reading, writing, telling, and listening to stories that utilize high-frequency vocabulary, sentence fluency and grammar. The primary focus of this course is to learn French through comprehensible input that incorporates hearing, telling, and writing stories. In addition to language acquisition, the class will focus on cultural knowledge and appreciation of the French speaking world through stories, music, film, television, art and other media.
Units will often focus on increasingly complex reading and responses to stories, graphic novels, or novellas of an appropriate level.
