Students in this class can choose either to focus on Acting or Theatre Production for the semester. This is a performance-based class where students will explore both stage and film performance and develop theatrical presentations, which include technical elements through collaboration, critical thinking, creativity and risk taking. Students will continue to build self-confidence and theatrical knowledge through the study of a variety of theatrical genres and forms, from Greek Theatre, Commedia Dell’Arte, through to 20th and 21st Century Theatre. Performance techniques will also be studied as well as script writing and analysis. Students do not need any previous drama courses to take this class. Students may take this class more than once.
