This beginning course in woodworking is open to all students. The course is designed to introduce students to the proper use of power tools and machines used in industry and the home. The emphasis will be on safety, machine operating procedures, maintenance and care. The students will be taught the reasons for the selections of different woods, fasteners and finishes related to their projects. Students opting to take Woodworking more than once during will receive instruction in carpentry and joinery with emphasis on student designed projects.
Open to students in all grades.
