Chemistry 12 is a course that builds on knowledge gained in Chemistry 11. The course presents an introduction to oxidation-reduction reactions, factors that affect reaction rates, as well as the principles of dynamic chemical equilibrium systems involving energy changes, solubility principles, and the relative strengths of acids and bases in solution. Success in the course requires ability in problem solving and the handling of numerical calculations, as well as a demonstrated ability to perform, analyze and report on experiments in the various topics. Good math skills are essential.
